E-Juice Review: Halo eVo E-Juice

Halo sent me five flavors from their Evo line for free for review.

Get Halo Evo e-juice here: http://shrsl.com/?~bmiy (affiliate link)

Specs:

    Price: 10ml for $6.99, 30ml for 16.99

    Nicotine: 0, 3, 6, 12, 18, 24

The Flavors

All of my reviews are based on 6mg nicotine.

Tangerine Swirl

The product description said that this would taste like a creamsicle, but it doesn’t. It tastes like tangerines for sure though. They really got the tangerine flavor down.

Limelight

This one is supposed to taste like key limes. It smells great but tastes like cleaning liquid to me. It has a strong artificial lime flavor. I didn’t like this one.

Apricota

Halo says thy use tree-ripe Turkish apricot flavor to create this one. It smells and tastes just like the description. It’s a smooth flavor and tastes pretty good.

Summer Peach

This one is just a basic peach flavor. It tastes like a real peach. Not like one of those super-juicy peaches, but kind of like a firm, dry peach. The flavor is pretty smooth. I enjoyed this one.

Apple Pom Smoothie

They were going for a smoothie flavor here but it doesn’t really taste like a smoothie. You can tastes the granny smith apple here, but not so much the pomegranate. Something I noticed in this flavor later after having recorded the review is that they seem to be using a menthol flavor in here. I think it’s to mimic the apple flavor. I thought this flavor was okay, but if you don’t like menthol, you might not like this one.

The Bottom Line

I liked all of the flavors that I tried in the Evo line except for Limelight.

Halo is known for putting out quality e-juices, but I think the EVO e-juice line tastes more like a budget e-juice. The EVO e-juices are extremely basic flavors. I wouldn’t doubt if they were simply one or two flavorings mixed into PG and nicotine. The flavors are not complex by any means and I think they need some fine-tuning. In my opinion, the EVO line is overpriced.

Halo’s other lines get high praise, although I haven’t tried them so I wouldn’t know, but the EVO line might not be a good representation of the rest of their products.

E-Liquid Review: VapeWild’s Get Your Jollies – Jolly Rancher E-Juice

get-your-jollies

Who wouldn’t want a Jolly Rancher flavored e-juice? I absolutely had to order this one!

Jolly Ranchers are my favorite candy. I used to keep a bag of them at my desk at all times and I did this for years. I don’t eat them often anymore because I try to live a little healthier these days, but I still enjoy them from time to time. I picked up Get Your Jollies from VapeWild in 50vg/50pg, 6mg nicotine, and I also got the flavor boost option.

E-Liquid Review: Ruthless Ejuice’s Grape Drank

ruthless-grape-drank

UPDATE: My video review was recorded in May 2015, but I’ve since changed my final thoughts on this e-liquid, I’ve updated this post to reflect that. Basically, the perfume taste has gone away and now this juice is awesome.

GeordieVaper on Twitter (who is no longer on Twitter!) recommended that I try out Grape Drank from Ruthless and it just so happened that my local vape shop was having a sale on all Ruthless juices on that same day, so I picked up a bottle of this grape e-liquid in 6mg nicotine. Ruthless only makes this in 85vg/15pg.

Ruthless doesn’t sell their e-liquids on their website so you’ll need to find a location near you using their locations page or by finding an online store that sells it.

Product Specs:

Product Description: The flavor of grape skittles and grape soda

Grape Drank only comes in 85% VG / 15% PG

Average price: $12.99 for 15ml bottle

Glass bottle

Nicotine Strengths Offered: 0 mg, 3 mg, 6 mg, 12 mg, 18 mg

Smell:

Grape Drank smells just like grape soda. It smells delicious! I couldn’t wait to try this one after smelling it.

Taste:

I first tried Grape Drank in my Caterpillar RDA at 20 Watts and I thought it tasted a little like perfume, so I dropped it down to 10 watts, which seemed much better. It still had a bit of a perfume taste, but I could taste the grape a lot better. I couldn’t taste the grape skittles flavor. If it tastes like any type of grape soda, I’d say it mostly resembles grape Fanta. At 6mg nicotine, it has hardly any throat hit at all. It’s smooth.

The first time I tried Grape Drank was back in May 2015. After letting it sit for about a month, the perfume taste went away completely. It’s been 7 months since I bought that bottle and I saved just a little bit to finish up this review. At 70 watts on a 0.46 ohm build, it tastes great. Yep, it’s awesome. It tastes just like grape soda and now without a perfume taste.

What Other People Are Saying:

A lot of reviews online say it tastes just like grape soda, so people agree with that description, but practically nobody said it tastes like grape skittles. Just about every review I could find was positive, but there were a couple of similar “perfume” complaints. It seems after steeping for a little while, the perfume taste goes away, or at least it did for me.

Would I Buy It Again?

Hell yeah. This has become one of my favorite e-liquids. When I first tried Grape Drank, it didn’t blow me away. Especially because of the hint of perfume it had, but when the perfume taste went away, the taste was amazing. This one is on my list of must-have e-liquids.

E-Juice Review: VapeWild’s Peanut Butter Bonanza E-Juice

vapewild-pb-bonanza

*If you’re a new VapeWild customer, order with my referral link so that I can earn points towards future orders.

I bought VapeWild’s Peanut Butter Bonanza thinking it was simply a peanut butter e-juice. I didn’t look at the product page or read any reviews. I just bought the sample pack and picked names from the drop-down menu of flavors I wanted to try and a peanut butter e-liquid sounded interesting so I chose it. I went with a 65vg / 35pg blend and 9mg nicotine.

Product Specs:

Product Description: A delectable e-liquid blend of rich and creamy peanut butter with a bonanza of sweet bananas!

Primary Flavors: Peanut Butter, Banana

With the option to add 50% more flavoring

Nicotine Strengths Offered: 0 mg, 1.5, 3 mg, 6 mg, 9 mg, 12 mg, 18 mg, 24 mg

VG / PG Blends Offered:

  • VG 80%+
  • VG 65% / PG 35%
  • VG 50% / PG 50%
  • VG 35% / PG 65%
  • VG 20% / PG 80%

Smell:

After two weeks of steeping, it smells mostly like peanut butter with a hint of sweetness, but the sweetness is unidentifiable. After a good long steep (2-3 months), it smells just like peanut butter and banana.

Taste:

Before steeping, Peanut Butter Bonanza tasted like the peanut butter you’d find in one of those little snack packs you’d eat as a kid, which I like. I could only taste the flavor on the exhale. It had a mild throat hit and good vapor production. I’d say it’s decent without steeping, although the banana flavor is hardly noticeable.

After three weeks of steeping, I put Peanut Butter Bonanza in my Caterpillar RDA using a dual coil, 1.2 ohm build at 20 watts. It had a good flavor and a sweetness that it didn’t have before. After dropping it down to 7.5 watts I could really taste the peanut butter.

I decided to try it out again 3 months after recording the original video and somewhere during that time the flavor finally came in. It tastes just like peanut butter and banana. This time I used my Freakshow Mini, single coil, 1.2 ohms at 18 watts. The Freakshow mini is known for being a flavor-atomizer, so that might have contributed to the better flavor.

What Other People Are Saying:

I actually didn’t realize that Peanut Butter Bonanza was supposed to have a banana flavor until I read the reviews. A lot of people say it tastes just like peanut butter and banana sandwiches, which it definitely does after it has a good amount of time to steep.

Would I Buy It Again?

Yes! I probably wouldn’t have bought Peanut Butter Bonanza again after the two-week steep period, but the full flavor came in after a couple of months. The full flavor is awesome and I would have no hesitation in buying it again.

E-Juice Review: VapeWild’s Captain Munch – Captain Crunch E-Juice

vapewild-captain-munch

*If you’re a new VapeWild customer, order with my referral link so that I can earn points towards future orders.

I ordered VapeWild’s Captain Munch e-juice when I first got into vaping, which seemed to be right when the cereal-flavored e-juice craze started. Vaping a cereal flavor seemed weird to me but everyone was talking about how good it is so I gave in to peer pressure and ordered some! I went with 9mg nicotine and 65vg/35pg.

Product Specs:

How VapeWild describes it: You know the cereal, now you can experience the e-juice. You can almost taste the crunch of this delicious Captain Munch e-liquid.

Primary Flavors: Cereal

With the option to add 50% more flavoring

Nicotine Strengths Offered: 0 mg, 1.5, 3 mg, 6 mg, 9 mg, 12 mg, 18 mg, 24 mg

VG / PG Blends Offered:

  • VG 80%+
  • VG 65% / PG 35%
  • VG 50% / PG 50%
  • VG 35% / PG 65%
  • VG 20% / PG 80%

Smell:

It smells sweet and kinda like Captain Crunch, but the idea that it smells like Captain Crunch could be in my head since I know what it’s supposed to taste like.

Taste:

Before steeping it hardly had any flavor at all. I wouldn’t have been able to guess the flavor if I didn’t know what it was. From the little bit of flavor that I could taste, I didn’t really care for it much.

After letting it steep for three weeks, I tried it in my old school Boge 510 dripping atomizer built at 2.6 ohms and set at 10 watts, which was too much for the Boge 510, so I dropped it down to 5 watts. It didn’t really have any flavor at either setting.

Next I tried it in my Caterpillar RDA set at 1.2 ohms and 7.5 watts and again, not much flavor.

What Other People Are Saying:

There are plenty of reviews on VapeWild’s website that say it tastes like cereal. Some people say it requires an extra shot and I would strongly agree with that because I can hardly taste a thing in this one. One reviewer said it tastes a lot better when mixed with Strawberries and Cream e-juice, which is an interesting recommendation. If I end up with some strawberries and cream at some point, I’ll try to remember to give it a try.

Would I Buy It Again?

I don’t care for this one. There’s just not enough flavor and from what I can taste, it sure doesn’t taste like Captain Crunch. I wouldn’t buy this one again.
