The Leopard 40K was sent to me for review from Fumot (check it out here). This disposable vape features dual mesh coils and is designed to last up to 40,000 puffs. They have 20mls of e-liquid, bright & colorful bodies, 700mAh batteries, and they come in nicotine strengths of 0, 2, 3, and 5%.
Design
These are some extremely colorful devices. Each device has a unique style and color, featuring a glittery body encased in a clear, attractive casing. It’s a nice-looking device.
The base has a metallic-looking plastic finish. That doesn’t seem to match the rest of the body very well, but it’s also not a major issue.
Each device features a different picture of a leopard, which is pretty cool. I like that they didn’t just stick the same image on every device. If you’re a fan of leopards, you’re gonna love these.
The mouthpiece is a smooth duckbill-shaped mouthpiece. It’s wide and comfortable to use. What’s also interesting about this mouthpiece is that it has two round holes, rather than one large opening. That’s different from usual, and I think it might contribute to how well these perform.
At the bottom of the device is an airflow intake and a USB-C charging port.
Features and Performance
The Leopard 40K turns on as soon as you take a hit. There are no buttons or switches on here, so this is very simple. When you take a hit, the screen turns on, and you can see the liquid level and the battery charge.
The screen features colorful, animated rings that circle the numbers. They look nice.
But that’s all there is to it here. These devices are as simple as they could be.
As far as performance goes, I’m impressed. These hit nice. The draw is extremely smooth, and the hits are big. They perform great.
Battery charge
The Leopard 40K features a 700 mAh battery and is charged via a USB-C cable. Fumot says it charges within 60-90 minutes. The battery size is nice. It’s not a huge battery, but it’s also not too small. It’s a good-sized battery for a device of this size.
Airflow
This doesn’t have adjustable airflow, so you have only what it comes with. It has a slightly loose mouth-to-lung draw. It’s not as restricted as I would like, but it’s comfortable and gives a good hit.
Flavors
Fumot sent me eight flavors, so let’s go over each one.
Blueberry Raspberry
This is a blue raspberry flavor, but it’s much richer than usual blue raspberry flavors.
Cherry Ice
This has a unique taste to it. I get the cherry flavor, but it also has something else going on, like a slight hint of anise and a hint of cola. It’s interesting, and I like it.
Dr. Blue
This is a strange flavor. I can’t tell what it is. It doesn’t help that the name is ambiguous, but it seems to be a rich, dark blueberry flavor. There’s no easy way to describe it, though. It doesn’t taste like a typical blueberry. But it’s good.
Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava
This is another very unique flavor. It’s tropical. The guava is the most prominent flavor here, which gives it its distinct taste.
Mixed Berries
This tastes like mixed berries, like with blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, but it tastes a lot like a blue raspberry flavor with ice.
Strawberry Ice
I really like this one. It reminds me of those strawberry hard candies. It’s really good.
Strawberry Watermelon
This blend combines strawberry and watermelon flavors, finishing with a hint of menthol. Both flavors are fairly light, so it’s a bit challenging to distinguish either one, but they offer a nice, sweet, and fruity flavor.
Watermelon Ice
This is a simple watermelon with ice on the end. It’s a very sweet artificial watermelon flavor, more like a candy or syrup flavor.
So that’s all the flavors they sent me, but there are 25 in the full line.
Final Thoughts
These are some nice devices. I like the way they look, they’re comfortable in the hand, and the flavors are all great.
I love how smooth the airflow is and how it comes through the mouthpiece. That might have something to do with those two mouthpiece holes, rather than having one large hole. It’s a smart design.
I would have liked this to have adjustable airflow and power, but I also like how simple it is to use. You don’t have to make any adjustments to get a good hit. And with 20mls of liquid and an estimated 40,000 hits per device, you should get a good amount of life out of each one.
