Review of the Supbliss Flip Box

The Supbliss Flip Box was sent to me for review from Fumot. This is a unique disposable that has a detachable battery, which I believe is the first to try something like this.

Unique Split Battery Design

Let’s start with the most notable feature. This device splits in half, with one half being the battery and the other being the cartridge and mouthpiece. There are strong magnets on each piece, and they snap together with some force. They hold extremely tight.

This is one of the best ideas I’ve seen yet with disposable devices because this could significantly cut down on battery waste. I would guess that it would make the cost cheaper, too, since you should only need to buy cartridges once you already have a battery.

This isn’t a completely new idea. For those of you who’ve been around a while, you might remember the Innokin Disrupter box mod that came out in 2015. They had a very similar idea that allowed you to buy swappable batteries that would allow you to buy different colors and modify the look of your device. That concept was cool but it never really took off, probably because the cost of buying battery packs was expensive.

But this idea from Fumot is far more affordable and has way more purpose. There’s a lot of news lately about the negative impacts of battery waste in disposables, for example, the unethical mining of resources to make batteries, and that people are throwing away perfectly good batteries just because the device is out of e-liquid. This could significantly reduce those negative impacts, especially if more companies run with this idea.

Looks and Style

Each flavor comes with a different color battery and all cartridges are solid white. The white cartridge looks great with every color. These are really nice-looking devices.

The flavor name is printed on the cartridge, and the battery only has Supbliss branding, which is good because that lets you use any battery on any cartridge without being confused about what flavor you’re using.

There’s also a lanyard loop connection at the top of the device if that’s something you use.

The device is 3 ⅛” tall, 1 7/8” wide, and 6/8” thick.

Performance

There are no buttons on the Flip Box, so to activate it, you take a hit. You get an estimated 6000 puffs from each device, and these use 1.0 Ohm mesh coils, so you get great flavor and an efficient hit.

These hit well, but the draw is a little loose. It’s a very loose mouth-to-lung draw. I would have liked a tighter draw or, even better, an adjustable airflow.

I’m not a huge fan of the round mouthpiece.

Round mouthpieces aren’t always a problem, but this one seems a little wider and less comfortable than usual. And flat duck-bill shaped mouthpieces are far more comfortable and provide a better seal, so I wish they would have used that here.

Nicotine and Flavors

The Flip Box uses salt nicotine and comes in 0, 2, 3, and 5% nicotine. There’s 10ml of liquid in the cartridge, and I believe that all flavors have menthol or koolada (at least the three they sent me do).

There are 12 flavors in the line:

  • Black Ice
  • Mixed Berries
  • Fresh Mint
  • Double Apple
  • Blueberry Raspberry
  • Mango Ice
  • Watermelon Ice
  • Banana Milk Shake
  • Pina Colada
  • Kiwi Passion Fruit
  • Grapefruit
  • Cherry Grape

Flavor Reviews

Fumot sent me three flavors to try.

Banana Milk Shake

This is such an interesting flavor. The banana seems to have a sort of earthy flavor, but it really does have that banana milk shake taste with a milky creaminess. I would have liked the banana to be a little stronger, but it’s still quite good. This does have a strong menthol in it too.

Blueberry Raspberry

The blueberry raspberry flavor is very strong in this, which I love. It practically explodes into the air when you open the package. The flavor is rich and sweet. There is also a strong menthol in this one.

Watermelon Ice

This is a nice candy-ish watermelon flavor. It reminds me of a watermelon liquid enhancer you’d add to water, which I think is really good. The watermelon isn’t as strong as I would have liked, but it’s strong enough. Like the others, this has a strong menthol hit.

Battery

The battery is a 650mAh rechargeable battery. It’s a decent-sized battery and will last a day or more of regular vaping. It charges using USB-C.

Specs

  • 650mAh battery

Final Thoughts

I LOVE this swappable battery design. It’s one of the best and most unique features I’ve seen in disposables. Aside from that, the devices look great, they hit great, and the flavors are excellent.

I wish the draw was more restricted, and I would have liked an adjustable airflow switch. I would have also liked a flat wide mouthpiece instead of the rounded one. These also have strong menthol or koolada, so that might be a drawback for some people, but I personally like it.

These were sent to me for review from Fumot, and you can pick these up for $18.99 each.
