Wotofo sent me the Ultra 20k for review. This is a strictly direct-to-lung disposable vape with adjustable airflow and three power settings, and they are pre-filled with 22ml of liquid. And what’s particularly unique here is that they contain 6mg of nicotine. That’s 6mg, NOT 6%!
You can buy the Ultra 20k directly from Wotofo here.
Design
I love what Wotofo has done with the design of the Ultra 20k. When so many companies reuse the same bodies for their devices, Wotofo always creates something unique. The design is modern and clean, and the glowing light around the screen and button looks futuristic against the white color of the body. On top of this clean and simple look is a massive splash of color on the side panels, and I love it. The colorful panels immediately made me think of a Studio Ghibli movie.
The side of the device has a round concave function button. It’s a smooth and shiny button, and it’s clicky. This button is used only for changing power modes and turning the device on or off.
Below the button is a bright LED screen with white and neon blue colors. The screen shows the battery charge, the power mode you’ve set, and how much liquid is left in the device.
The mouthpiece is at the top of the device, a comfortable duckbill-shaped mouthpiece made of silicone rubber. The rubber is soft and bendy. It’s very nice to use.
Power Modes
The Ultra 20k has a 0.6-ohm nexMesh coil, a great coil for performance and flavor, and the device operates at a 5A output current. Wotofo says a typical current is 3A, which means the Ultra 20k should perform much better than other devices. I’ve never paid much attention to the output current of other devices, so I find this pretty interesting.
There are three power modes on the Ultra 20k;
Eco – This is the most energy-efficient mode and the one you’ll want to use to get the most lifetime puffs out of the Ultra 20k. It draws the least amount of power.
Norm – This mode is where Wotofo probably expects most people to be happy with their experience.
Turbo – If you crave bigger hits and a little more heat, you’ll want to use Turbo mode.
According to Wotofo’s product page, each power mode also changes the airflow. Eco mode is as loose as it gets and is designed for a smooth, easy draw. Normal mode restricts the airflow right between Eco and Turbo. And Turbo has the tightest airflow resistance. However, the airflow changes are minimal, and I think they are hard to detect. I might not have even noticed if I hadn’t read this on Wotofo’s site.
Airflow
There is an adjustable airflow slider on the bottom of the Ultra 20k. The slider has no preset positions to click into, so you can move it into the perfect position for your preferences.
This is a DTL device or Direct-To-Lung, which means it has a very loose airflow. So, if you only like Mouth-To-Lung draws, this isn’t for you.
You can’t get an MTL hit even with the airflow fully closed down. It’s a restricted lung draw. With the airflow wide open, it’s a very loose draw, but it’s not as open as you could get from an RDA (if anyone even knows what those are anymore).
I prefer MTL in disposables, but I don’t mind DTL sometimes. And as a strictly DTL device, the Ultra works quite well.
Nicotine
The Ultra 20k contains 6mg of nicotine salt per ML. The low level of nicotine is unheard of in disposables. Most disposables have 20mg, 30mg, or 50mg of nicotine (usually described in percentages as 2,3, and 5%). This lower level of nicotine could be a huge positive for people who don’t like how strong most disposables are.
This lower level works great for a direct-to-lung vape. When I vape from an RDA or tank, 6mg is my preferred strength. I think it’s perfect for taking big lung hits, and it makes sense why Wotofo chose that for the Ultra 20k.
Flavors
The Ultra 20k comes pre-filled with 22ml of liquid. Wotofo estimates that to be about 20,000 puffs, which they say is based on test conditions. If I had to guess, test conditions would mean always consistent puffs (duration and strength) and set to Eco mode.
Wotofo sent me three flavors to try out:
Double Apple
This is a very good double apple flavor. The apple comes through clear and is slightly sweet, but it has just a slight hint of liquor. I don’t know how to describe the apple here, though. It seems like it’s maybe more of a fruit flavor rather than candy. It reminds me of the flavor of dehydrated apple slices.
Lemon Mint
This is a great combination of mint and lemon. I can taste both flavors very clearly. I’m not usually a big fan of mint, but I really like it combined with lemon. This is an excellent flavor.
Watermelon Ice
This is a unique spin on watermelon. It’s hard to describe, but to me, it comes out mostly like a smooth, candy watermelon flavor with just a hint of a natural watermelon mixed in.
Wotofo’s flavors are nice. I think Wotofo does a great job of making their flavors different from what everyone else uses. I believe most manufacturers go to the same liquid manufacturers, so everything seems to taste the same, whereas Wotofo may be getting customized flavors. Their flavors are clear, smooth, and closely matched to their flavor profile. Their flavors seem of much higher quality than those of competitors.
Full Flavor List
There are 12 flavors in the line:
- Berry Ice
- Black Currant Ice
- Blueberry Gum
- Blue Razz Lemonade
- Cherry Blueberry
- Double Apple
- Grape Mint
- Lemon Mint
- Mango Ice
- Peach Ice
- Sweet Passion Fruit
- Watermelon Ice
The Internal Battery
The battery inside the Ultra 20k is a 1000mAh battery. That’s a great size for a disposable. You should be able to get at least a couple of days of vaping out of it before needing to recharge it.
It charges with a USB-C cable and can be charged from empty to full in only 30 minutes. It charges at 800mA, so it’s really fast.
Protection Features
These have all of the protections you’d want:
- Child Safety Protection
- Overtime Protection
- Short Circuit Protection
- Low Voltage Protection
- Pass-Through Vaping
- Over Voltage Protection
Child safety protection simply means you can turn the device off. I love this feature in any disposable.
I’m not sure what the cutoff time is for overtime protection because I can’t get a hit long enough for it to cut off. The menthol is too strong for me, so the longest hit I could take was around 8 seconds. If I had to guess, it’s 10 or 15 seconds.
Pass-through vaping is a cool feature, too, because that means you can vape it while it’s charging.

Final Thoughts
I don’t know what it is about the design of the Ultra 20k, but I just love how they look. The over-the-top colorful labels on these white bodies are just so good. I can see why some people might not like it, but I love it.
As far as the device performs, it’s excellent. The power modes all have noticeable changes, which is exactly what you want with adjustable power, and the airflow slider works great, too. This is a strictly direct-to-lung vape, and with that in mind, it works exactly as it should. You get a lot of airflow, and the hits are big and satisfying. The flavor is clean and tastes great, too.
