Pyne Pod Boost Disposable Review

The Pyne Pod Boost was sent to me for review from VapeSourcing.com. Check it out here. This is a great-looking pod device but also lightweight and full of great features.

The Pyne Pod Boost Design

These devices look awesome. I love the style of the device. The main color of each case looks great, and I love the see-through front panel. Each flavor has the same artwork, but it’s colored to match the case. Under the clear case, you can see what I believe is the cover to the internal battery where the charging port is, a section of the internal chip, a cover for the coil and wicking material, and a little screen in the middle. It’s a very cool style that I like a lot.

The device is 51mm wide (2 in.), 22.5mm thick (0.8 in.), and 78mm tall, including the mouthpiece (3 in).

The Display

The Pyne Pod Boost has a built-in display that shows you battery life and how much liquid is left in the device. These are both awesome metrics to have in a pod device. The screen looks great too. The screen lights up while you’re vaping and stays on for about 5 seconds after your hit.

How the Pyne Pod Boost Performs

There is a button at the top near the mouthpiece that gives you a few features; you can turn it off and on, you can check the battery and liquid, and you can adjust the power.

Holding the button for three seconds turns the device off and on, which is a feature I always love in a disposable. The LED light under the screen will blink five times to let you know you’ve turned it off or on.

This is a draw-activated device, so once it’s on, you only need to take a drag for it to activate. It fires perfectly every time.

There’s no airflow control here, so that’s a drawback, but the airflow restriction is good as it is anyway. It’s a moderately restricted mouth-to-lung hit, but because of how well the device fires, I think just about anyone would be satisfied with it.

To adjust the wattage, you click the button twice. That lets you move between high and low wattage modes. There’s a light on the screen that tells you what mode you’re in. Green means Low, and Red means High. I don’t know the exact wattage of each setting, but there’s a noticeable difference in power. I personally prefer the performance of the high setting.

The wattage will also impact how many total puffs you get out of the device. If you always use it in low-wattage mode, you’re expected to get 8500 puffs, and if always in high-wattage, you’ll get around 6000 puffs.

My Thoughts on the Lemon Lime Flavor

VapeSourcing only sent me one flavor, Lemon Lime, so that’s all I can speak to, but it’s very good. The Lemon Lime flavor is on point. It’s like a strong sweet lemonade. The lemon is the most prominent flavor here, with just a bit of lime at the end of the hit. There’s also some Koolada too. I would absolutely buy their other flavors based on how good this one is.

All Pyne Pod Boost Flavors

PynePod currently has 16 different flavors

  1. Watermelon Bubble Gum
  2. Mango Passion Fruit
  3. Blueberry Raspberry
  4. Sakura Grape
  5. Cool Mint
  6. Strawberry Banana
  7. White Gummy
  8. Lemon Lime
  9. Strawberry Watermelon
  10. Blueberry Cotton Candy
  11. Cantaloupe Apple
  12. Colombian Coffee
  13. Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava
  14. Clear
  15. Tobacco
  16. Fizzy Cherry

The Internal Battery

The internal battery is a 550mAh battery, which is a pretty good-sized battery for a device of this size. I would expect it to last most people a full day of vaping without needing to be recharged, but even when you do need to charge it, it only takes 30 minutes to reach a full charge.

My Final Thoughts

I really like the PynePod. The Lemon Lime flavor is so good that I want to try all of the other flavors. The device looks great, and I love the see-through cover and being able to see the chip. I also love the screen showing the battery life and liquid level. Having a button that lets you turn the device off and on and also change the wattage is another great feature. It could have been better with an airflow control, but I like the airflow, so it’s not a problem for me. Overall, I think it’s a great disposable device.
