The Vookbar Cyber Pro 30000 was sent to me for review. This is a disposable vape with a touch screen, a calculator, a game, and workout trackers. You can also connect it to your phone to get the weather, get social media messages, and use as a camera remote.
Design
The style is decent. It’s not the most stylish device, but looks like most other disposable vapes. The only thing I don’t like about the style is the cheap-looking plastic design on the top. But it’s just a disposable, so no big deal.
There’s a comfortable mouthpiece at the top, a lanyard hole, a large colorful touch screen, an operation button on the side, and a USB-C port and airflow slider on the bottom.
These offer 30,000 puffs in normal mode, 15,000 puffs in Power mode, and have 22ml of e-liquid. They come in 5% nicotine and have an 850mAh rechargeable battery.
Adjustable Airflow
There’s an airflow slider on the bottom that lets you choose from two airflow options. The small hole is a mouth-to-lung draw, but it’s not as restricted as I would have liked it. It also seems to gurgle a little on this option. The larger hole gives you a more loose mouth-to-lung hit and it feels like this device was designed for this airflow.
I would have liked more airflow options, but it’s nice that you have at least two.
Features
There are so many features built into the Cyber Pro, I don’t even know where to start.
You turn the device on and off by holding the button for a few seconds. Turning it off is funny too, because it shows a slider on the screen that you have to slide to confirm that you want to turn it off, like an iPhone.
The home screen shows the date, time, battery charge, liquid levels, and puff counter. It has an animated background image as well, which you can change in the settings.
You can swipe up, right, down, and left to reach various modes and settings.
When you swipe down from the top of the screen, you can connect to your phone via Bluetooth, open a calculator, scan a QR code to download Vookbar’s app to your phone, an About screen, a Settings menu, and a Camera control. The settings menu here isn’t very useful. It has another link to the app, a restart option, and a power-off option. The camera mode lets you use the vape as a remote to take pictures from your phone when it’s connected via Bluetooth.
If you swipe from the left of the screen, you can access the calculator, camera mode, set a custom wallpaper, check notifications, play a game, dial a number to start a call, use “find my phone,” access your contacts, go into the general menu, and access settings.
There are eight different wallpapers, so having some options is nice. If you download the WearinOS app, you can also download more wallpapers.
The notifications menu gives you access to notifications from Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Wechat, and Messages. For notifications to work, you need to download the WearinOS app, choose “Message Remind,” and give the app permission to access your notifications.
The General menu has options for language, stopwatch, calendar, altitude barometer, weather, and female health. Female Health is an interesting and odd, feature to include on a vape device. This is a menses cycle tracker that allows women to track their menstruation cycle and the dates of their period and when they are ovulating. I understand the need for a tool like this, but having it on a vape seems strange. But I’m not a woman, so I can’t speak to that. Maybe women would find this useful to have on their vape.
When you swipe up from the bottom of the screen, it takes you to notifications.
And when you swipe from the right of the screen, you can change your power mode (normal or power), access fitness trackers (outdoor running, outdoor walking, indoor running, indoor walking, free training, and indoor cycling), and play a game.
The fitness trackers are step counters that track your steps, the duration of your workout, and estimate your distance and calories burned.
The game feature has only one game, and it’s the same on all devices. It’s a very basic game that I’ve never seen before. You’re a ship in space, and you have to shoot incoming enemies. I can’t tell if the enemies are aliens or spaceships of some kind. Your ship is constantly shooting so all you need to do is use the touch screen to shoot the bad guys. It’s not really a fun game, but maybe useful to kill some time when you’re really bored.
WearinOS App
The app gives you more control over the device but is also required if you want to use some of the features. For example, for contacts, weather, altitude, and female health to work, you need to set those up in the app. You can also download new wallpapers from the app.
The app’s Home page shows you the power of your device and health tracking if you’ve used the fitness trackers. The Equipment page is where you go to add your vapes and control settings, give permissions for notifications, and set up the weather. I couldn’t get weather to work on mine but it might work in more populated cities.
There’s a firmware update option here too. I’m on the latest version, so I don’t know what that process looks like, but I’m assuming that would be a way for Vookbar to add more features and maybe new games and wallpapers.
Flavors
There are 20 flavors in all, and they sent me two.
Miami Mint
This is a strong spearmint flavor. The ice is strong, but it tastes nice.
Strawberry Mango
It’s a simple strawberry-mango flavor with ice added. Both flavors seem to be equals. It’s a good flavor.
The full list of flavors includes:
- Strawberry Watermelon
- Mojito Mix Berries
- Cherry Ice
- Strawberry Banana
- Watermelon Ice
- Peach Ice
- Blue Razz Ice
- Clear
- White Gummy Ice
- Strawberry Mango
- Miami Mint
- Peach Mango
- White Strawberry Ice
- Cherry Watermelon
- Sour Apple
- Frozen Pina Colada
- Grape Ice
- Fcking Fab (durian, coconut, and papaya)
- Strawberry Kiwi
- Green Orange Lime Mint
Final Thoughts
I think it’s a very interesting and unique device. As far as performance goes, it works great. The flavors are excellent, the power modes work great, I like the adjustable airflow, and it hits nice.
The touch screen is responsive, which is nice, but it’s also very touchy when you’re just trying to vape. Every time I take a hit, the screen activates and I find I’m in some menu or have activated something.
Regarding the smartphone-like apps and tools, there are some neat features here, like the social notifications, step counters, the calculator, and the camera remote. Those are my favorite features. I think there’s a lot of room for improvement, though. The menu system is complicated and messy, features are duplicated in various menus, the settings menu is useless, the weather app doesn’t work for me, and there’s only one game, and it’s not a good one. This is the first smart disposable I’ve seen like this though, so it’s still in its infancy. I expect these will get better over time.
Also, one of my biggest concerns with this vape is that it has all of this tech built into it, and when it’s out of liquid, it goes into the trash. It’s a lot of waste. It would be nice if there were a recycling program for these.
