The Wotofo nexBar 20K disposables were sent to me for review from Wotofo. I’ve tested the nexBar 10k and the 16k models that came out before this, and both were excellent devices. This one is no different. There are 10 flavors available and it comes in 50mg or 20mg versions.
Design
The designs on the nexBar 20k are bright and colorful. The front of the device has a screen that shows the mode you’re in, the battery charge, and e-liquid levels. While you’re vaping, the lightning bolts around the big NEXBAR logo on the screen flash. Below the screen is the name and flavor of the liquid.
The design on the back of the device is different for each flavor, all fun and representative of the flavor. The design is slightly raised so you can feel it. That may or may not be a con for some people but I think it gives it more character while it’s in my hand, so I like it.
Features
There is a power button on the bottom of the device. If you hold it for a couple of seconds, it turns the device off and on. That button also changes the power settings when the device is on.
There’s 24ml’s of liquid in the device, which Wotofo says will last up to 20,000 puffs, hence the name of the device. That’s a ton of liquid, and that’s especially surprising for a device of this size.
There are three modes to pick from on the nexBar 20k; Eco, Norm, and Turbo. You can change the mode using the button on the bottom of the device.
- Eco mode is the lowest power level. This mode is good for light hits and longer battery life. You’re more likely to get the full 20,000 puffs in this mode.
- Normal mode is the medium power-level on the nexBar 20k and is a good middle-of-the-road option for power and battery life.
- Turbo mode puts the power up as high as it’ll go. You’ll get bigger hits, more flavor, and a hotter vape, but the battery life and number of lifetime puffs goes down significantly.
All of the modes work great and exactly as they’re described. The Eco mode is actually my favorite. It’s not underpowered like it is on other disposables so I’ve been sticking with that because it’s both satisfying and I’ll get more life out of the device.
Battery
The battery is a 1000mAh battery, which I’d consider to be fairly large for a disposable. This thing will last you all day and probably several more. It also charges using USB-C at 5v, so it’ll charge fast when you need it to.
Airflow
The Wotofo 10k model had an adjustable airflow, which was great. Wotofo removed the adjustable airflow on the 16k, which I think was a mistake, and was really the only problem with it. But they brought adjustable airflow back for the 20k model, which I’m very happy about that.
You can shut the airflow down almost entirely so that means you can adjust it to as restricted as you would like. With the airflow wide open, you can get a restricted lung draw, so you have a lot of airflow options here, which is great. I like the slider right in the middle.
Flavors
There are currently 10 flavors available:
- Tropical Ice
- Three Melons
- Forest Berries
- Pina Colada
- Blue Razz Ice
- Hawaiian Shore Ice
- Dragon Fruit Berry
- Strawberry Kiwi
- Watermelon Ice
- Blackberry Ice
I was sent five flavors to try:
Blackberry Ice
This is a great sweet blackberry flavor. The ice is quite strong.
Pina Colada
This is a delicious pina colada flavor. The coconut comes out strong, which is incredible. It reminds me of the early days of vaping when I tried a coconut vape for the first time, and the flavor blew me away because it was so different. I love the strength of the flavor here.
Hawaiian Shore Ice
I don’t know what flavor Hawaiian Shore is supposed to be, but it tastes tropical. The flavor is good. The ice is really strong here.
Tropical Ice
This is a bit weird at first. It almost had a slight toasty hint, almost like burnt wood. It’s not gross, just smoky. That seemed to go away after a few hits, though, and then it really started to taste like a tropical mix of fruits like melons, mango, and papaya.
Dragon Fruit Berry
Another great one. This tastes like a mix of light dragon fruit and berries. It’s sweet and tasty. It has a bit of floralness to it, too.
Final Thoughts
The nexBar 20k is a great disposable vape. The adjustable airflow works great, it has adjustable power levels that all work as Wotofo describes, and the flavors are excellent. The nicotine is also quite strong in the 50mg version, so that’s something to consider.
The nexBar 20k disposables were sent to me for review from Wotofo. You can get these from Wotofo for $29.99 each.
