Wotofo sent me the Wotofo Nexbar 16k disposables to review. These are upgrades to the Nexbar 10k devices that Wotofo released a few months ago, which I also reviewed. They have 20ml of e-liquid, come in either 50mg or 20mg options and have 15 different flavors.
Design
These devices look great. They have a very nice modern style and nice calming colors. Wotofo always puts out stylish products. The casing is plastic but has a soft and smooth feel to it. The lettering on the device is slightly raised, so you get a little texture there, too.
The mouthpiece is a built-in plastic mouthpiece. It’s comfortable to use, clear, and the same color as the casing, so it looks great.
There’s a large display on the side of the device. It’s very colorful, and bright, and the numbers and text is nice and large. Wotofo used pretty much the entire side of the device for the screen, which I like. No space is wasted. The screen shows your battery charge percentage, the wattage mode, and e-liquid percentage.
The mode button is near the bottom of the screen, on the wider side of the device. It’s a nice clicky button; I just wish it was more pronounced and easier to press.
These are 3.6″ tall, 1.8″ wide, and 1″ thick.
Airflow
The airflow is very loose. It’s right on the verge of being a lung draw, but I don’t feel like it’s a good lung draw hit. This doesn’t have adjustable airflow, so you’re limited to only the draw you get here. I think that’s a fairly big drawback. This is just my opinion, and I might be wrong here, but I think the airflow is just a little too loose to be perfectly satisfying for most people. It’s not terrible, though. I’ve definitely gotten used to it. I’m just saying that I wish it were a little more restricted.
Adjustable Wattage
There are three wattage modes to pick from: Eco, Normal, and Turbo.
Eco mode gives you a decent hit, but it’s very cool. The flavor is great, though, and you still get a good amount of vapor.
Normal mode raises the wattage enough to make a noticeable difference in the hit. It is a lot more satisfying here, but it is still a bit too light for me.
Turbo mode is the highest you can go, and I believe it gives you the most satisfying hit.
If the airflow were more restricted, all of these modes would be a lot more satisfying. But because I like more restriction, the most satisfying hit for me is in Turbo mode.
Flavors
Mentos Mint
I’ve had Mentos before, but I can’t remember what they taste like. Either way, this tastes like your typical spearmint flavor. It’s a good sweet mint.
Clear
This is really weird. It doesn’t have much flavor but it does have a strong menthol kick. It’s sort of like a naked menthol but without sweetener. This is a very strange flavor. It’s unique and interesting though. I could see this appealing to someone who doesn’t like strong sweeteners but still wants some sort of kick to give a satisfying hit.
Grape Ice
I like this grape. I would have liked the grape to be a little stronger or maybe a little sweeter. But it’s a sweet candy-ish grape flavor with some decent ice on it. It’s not super icy, or at least it doesn’t seem as strong when mixed with that grape flavor, but it has plenty to add to the experience.
Mint
This is an interesting mint flavor that kind of reminds me of the actual mint plant. It’s minty and slightly sweet and has an almost earthy taste on the end. Not a bad earthiness, just that flavor that gives me a sense of the actual plant.
Skittlez
This is my favorite of the bunch. It’s a candy-like sweet mix. It doesn’t really make me think of Skittles, but it does taste like throwing a bunch of candies in your mouth. It has a bit of floralness, but that seems pretty light to me.
They also have 10 other flavors:
- Strawberry Kiwi
- Watermelon Bubblegum
- Blackberry Ice
- Sour Apple
- Blueberry Raspberry
- Strawberry Ice
- Cherry Lemon
- Monster Ice
- Spearmint
- Watermelon Ice
Battery
The battery charges using a USB-C type cable and charges fast. This has a 630mAh internal rechargeable battery.
Final Thoughts
These are very nice-looking disposables, and the flavors are all good, although I’m a little unsure of that Clear flavor. You get a ton of e-liquid and a large battery, which is great. I also really like that you have three different wattage modes. I also really like the large, colorful screen. My only complaint is really the loose airflow. This would have been perfect if the airflow was tighter or if there was an adjustable airflow feature.
These were sent to me for review from Wotofo and you get these for $27.99 each.
