Review of Wotofo nexBar 18k Disposables

Wotofo sent me the nexBar 18k for review. This is the newest disposable vape in the nexBar device line. This is interesting, too, because the last model that Wotofo came out with was the 20k, so they’ve reduced the capacity of this model.

Design

The nexBar 18k is a nice-looking device. It’s compact, has smooth, rounded edges, and I think it looks a little retro, which I like. This model is smaller than the previous 20k model, which would explain why it has fewer lifetime puffs.

You have nexBar branding around the panels and the small screen near the bottom of one of the sides. That screen shows you the battery charge, liquid levels, and the mode that you’re in.

The bottom of the device has a function button and an airflow slider.

Each device has 20mg of nicotine and 21 ml of liquid.

Features

The nexBar 18k has a button on the bottom of the device. This button allows you to turn the device on and off (by holding for several seconds), as well as change power modes.

There are two modes here, which you can change with a single press of the button:

  • Norm
  • Turbo

Both modes work great. The Normal mode gives a great hit, and Turbo mode kicks it up quite a lot. With the Ice vapes, Turbo mode makes the menthol almost too strong for me. So, if you want a strong hit, you’ll like Turbo. I stick with Normal because it has a perfect hit for me, and it’ll give me more life out of the device.

This disposable uses a dual nexMesh coil, with each coil built at 1.2 Ohm resistance. Or at least I believe that’s what the package describes. It’s kind of hard to decipher the parameters listed on the box.

Adjustable Airflow

The slider is on the bottom of the device. It moves smoothly along its track, so you can make adjustments as small as you’d like. With the airflow wide open, it’s an airy mouth-to-lung draw. With the slider fully closed, the draw is nearly completely closed off, which means you can get a super-tight draw on here, and that’s what I like. The airflow adjustment works great.

Battery

The battery inside the 18k is a 750mAh battery. It’s a decent battery for a device of this size and should last several days without needing a recharge.

It charges using USB-C, so you get a quick charge too.

Flavors

I don’t know how many flavors are available for the 18k because the sales page isn’t up at the time I’m writing this, but they sent me five flavors to try.

Pina Colada

This is a great pina colada with a nice mix of pineapple and coconut. It doesn’t have any rum, so it’s just the sweet part of a pina colada. It’s a very nice and sweet tropical vape.

Energy Ice

This one is very unique. Energy drink flavors usually are, but this one is different than others I’ve tried. Most energy drink vapes are like Red Bull, but this is almost like a Monster mixed with Coke. I like it.

Blackberry Ice

This is a sweet candy blackberry flavor. It has that slightly bitter taste at the end of the hit, which is common in berry flavors. It has a little ice. It’s a nice blackberry.

Watermelon Ice

This is a sweet candy watermelon flavor with a moderately strong ice to it.

Lemon Lime

This is a great sour lemon-lime flavor. It almost reminds me of lemonade, except that the lime is stronger than the lemon. It’s sweet and unique.

I liked all of these flavors. My favorite is the lemon-lime, but they’re all so good and unique. The only exception is the Blackberry Ice and maybe the Watermelon too. Both the blackberry and watermelon flavors are really good, but they’re not as unique as the others.

Final Thoughts

Wotofo’s nexBar 18k is great. It looks nice, feels comfortable in the hand, has a little screen to give you battery and liquid stats, the rubbery duckbill-shaped mouthpiece is comfortable, and most importantly, it has excellent performance.

I also get a consistently great hit, the flavor from the nexMesh coils is strong and flavorful, there are two power modes to pick from, and the adjustable airflow works perfectly. This is just a great disposable all around.
