Smoant sent me the Pasito Pro for review. This is a small, ergonomic, and stylish pro-style pod device. You can learn more about it from Smoant’s site.
Modern and Sleek Design
The Smoant Pasito Pro has a modern, clean look. Its body is made of zinc alloy metal, which is a bit hefty but I like it a lot. It feels high-quality and durable. The Pasito Pro looks and feels like a pro-model pod device.
The mouthpiece, a removable 510 tip, is at the top. You can remove it to clean it or even replace it with a custom tip. The pod shows through the device’s frame, so you have a large window to see how much liquid is left.
The side of the Pasito Pro has an airflow adjustment slider on the pod, a function button, a bright, colorful TFT screen, and two adjustment buttons.
And on the bottom is the USB-C charging port.
There are eight designs to pick from:
- Black
- Aquamarine
- Red
- Carbon Fiber
- Chocolate
- Diamond Shaped
- Starnight Silver
- Indigo
Pasito Pro Features and Modes
Clicking the firing button five times fast turns the device on or off. The firing button is also the only way to fire this device. The Pasito Pro doesn’t have draw-activated firing.
The screen shows your wattage level, a puff counter, a timer, the resistance of your coil, and the voltage.
To enter the menu, click the firing button three times fast while the device is on. From here, you can choose between two modes and from several theme colors.
There are two modes:
VW Mode
This is your typical variable wattage mode that lets you change wattage from 1-50 watts. The left and right adjustment buttons go up and down in 1-watt increments, it speeds up if you hold the buttons, and the wattage rolls over at both ends. I don’t see a max of 50 watts on pod devices very often anymore, so this is nice. You can really take the wattage up if you like bigger, warmer hits.
DVW Mode
This mode is also known as Custom Curves mode within the industry. This is where you start getting into some of the expert settings. You can set two settings in this mode – the wattage and duration of seconds for that wattage. If you hold the left adjustment and power buttons simultaneously, you can change the wattage from 1 to 50 watts between five segments of time. If you hold the right adjustment and power buttons, you can change the duration for that wattage from 0.5 to 2 seconds.
You could set the device to start high at 50 watts and taper down as the hit goes on, or you could set it at a low wattage and get hotter each second you vape. Or you could do something completely different, like 50 watts for 1 second, 10 watts for 2 seconds, 30 watts for 0.5 seconds, and so on. I don’t know why anyone would do something like that, but you have that option.
After choosing a mode, you can change the color of the screen. There are five colors: light blue, white, red, orange, and green. The colors are a little boring, in my opinion, but at least you can customize it a bit.
Holding the left and right adjustment buttons simultaneously lets you lock and unlock the device. That locks all buttons, so you can’t adjust your wattage or fire the device while the lock is on.
And that’s it for modes and features.
Replaceable Coils With Excellent Performance
You get two coils in the box:
S-1 0.4 Ohm – This coil is rated for 30-35 watts. It hits hard. The hits are big, flavorful, and much warmer than the other coils.
S-2 0.6 Ohm – This coil is rated for 18-25 watts. The hits are good, and the flavor is excellent. You don’t get hits as big as on the 0.4 Ohm coil, but they’re still quite big.
Smoant also sent me the 1.2 Ohm coil to test. This coil is rated for 7-12 watts, has much lower heat, and would be best for high-nicotine liquid. As you’d expect, the hits are smaller than the other coils, but they are still really good.
There are eight coil options in all, so you’ve got a lot of choices. One of those options is even an RBA coilhead, so you could rebuild your coils, too. I wish they sent me that one because it would have been fun to try out.
The pre-installed coil has a gold-colored adaptor connected to it. You need this adaptor to switch coils, so be very careful that you don’t accidentally throw that away when you swap coils out. The adaptor screws onto the end of the coil and allows the coil to fit tightly into the pod. My guess is that Smoant does this to allow the S-Coils to be compatible with multiple devices, which is a good thing. But I don’t know why they don’t just create coils that have the base built into them. Anyway, I wish the coils didn’t require this adaptor or that there were spare adaptors in the box.
When you insert the pod, the screen will show you the recommended wattage of the coil. That’s a nice feature, but I would have also liked it if the Pasito Pro limited the maximum wattage for each coil. Then, I wouldn’t have to worry about accidentally going too high and burning the cotton.
A 4ml Pod With Replaceable Coils
The pod is a reusable pod that takes replacement coils. It has a liquid fill port on one side and an adjustable airflow slider on the other. You can also fill the pod while it’s installed, so that’s nice. It’s a big 4ml pod.
If the liquid level is low enough, you can even replace the coil without emptying out the pod. It has to be a little below half-full. It’s also nice that the pod is square because you can take the coil out and set the pod down without worrying about it spilling.
The round mouthpiece can also be removed, so you can change the mouthpiece if you want, which is nice. The included mouthpiece doesn’t seem to be tight enough, though. It almost just falls right out. And if you get a little liquid or condensation in there, be prepared to lose the tip if you’re not careful because it becomes extremely loose. They really should have included larger o-rings on the tip to prevent this.
Adjustable Airflow With a Great Range
The adjustable airflow slider is built into the pod. It’s a very smooth slider, and you can fine-tune it however you like within an MTL and restricted lung draw. The airflow works extremely well.
With the slider closed down, it’s pretty much airtight. You can’t get a hit with it closed down, which means you can get as tight of a hit as you want. With the airflow slider fully open, you can get a very satisfying restricted lung draw. Smoant did a great job with the adjustable airflow on the Pasito Pro.
A Large 1500mAh Battery
The internal battery is a 1500mAh battery, which I’d consider pretty big for a device of this size. That’s great because you get a lot of battery life here and won’t have to charge it too often. It charges using USB-C at the bottom of the device.

Final Thoughts
The design is sleek and modern. And with the metal body and slight heft, the whole thing just feels like a luxury product. It’s a beautiful design.
This really feels like a pro device. Years ago, that would have seemed ridiculous to say about this device, but the features on the Pasito Pro just don’t exist anymore. The Pasito Pro goes up to 50 watts, it has a replaceable mouthpiece, adjustable airflow with a wide range, 4ml max capacity, a 1500mAh battery, replaceable coils, and an advanced DVW mode. And Smoant even makes a rebuildable coil for it. I’d say in the realm of pod vapes, those are pro features.
Smoant did a great job with the Pasito Pro. Overall, I’m a big fan of it – so much so that I even plan to buy the rebuildable coil to keep building on it.
