Wotofo sent me the nexPod Refillo for review. This is a refillable stick-style pod vape with adjustable airflow and several pod options.
Design
The Wotofo nexPOD Refillo has a very simple and clean design. Branding is etched on both sides and it blends in well.
The device is sleek and compact, making it highly portable. It feels great to hold and features a sturdy aluminum alloy body that is both lightweight and strong.
It comes in many colors:
- Black
- Blue
- Green
- Purple
- Red
- Gold
- Orange/Yellow Gradient
- Yellow/Green Gradient
- Yellow/Blue Gradient
- Purple/Blue Gradient
Kit Options
Wotofo sent me two versions of the kit. One kit has the Refillo device, a 0.6 Ohm pod, a USB-C charging cable, and a lanyard.
The other kit is a more basic setup, which comes only with the device and a 0.8 Ohm pod. If you don’t care about the lanyard or USB-C cable, you might as well get that one since it’s more affordable.
Refillable Pods
The pods are long and slender. The thinness makes them very comfortable to vape from. The vape pods are designed with a long and slim shape. This thinness provides a comfortable vaping experience.
Wotofo makes four pod versions for the Refillo, and each has its benefits. You can’t manually adjust the wattage on the nexPod Refillo, but each pod changes the wattage.
- 0.4 – This coil operates at 28 watts.
- 0.6 – This coil operates at 20 watts.
- 0.8 – This coil operates at 16 watts.
- 1.2 – This coil operates at 10 watts.
I get a big, strong hit from the 0.4 Ohm pod – a ton of vapor and the most flavor of all the pods. The 0.6 Ohm pod is very similar. I can barely tell the difference, but it produces just slightly less vapor and warmth and maybe a little less flavor. It steps down in heat, vapor, and flavor with the 0.8 Ohm pod, and even further with the 1.2 Ohm pod. But really, each pod performs quite well. Even the 1.2 Ohm pod has a strong and satisfying hit.
The hits I get from all of the pods are also very smooth.
The pods fill from a side-fill port. It’s easy to access, but it also requires that you remove the pod to fill it up.
Adjustable Airflow
There’s an airflow slider on one side of the device. It slides smoothly, and you can fine-tune where you set it, which is very nice. It has a good range of airflow options too.
With the slider fully closed, you can sort of get a hit, but it’s really too tight to work well. And that’s a good thing because it means if you just slightly open it up, you can get a very tight draw, if that’s what you like.
With the slider fully open, the airflow becomes very loose. It’s still a mouth-to-lung draw, but I can even get a tight lung draw.
Rechargeable Battery and Indicator Light
The battery inside the nexPod Refillo is a 1000mAh battery. I’d consider that a reasonably large battery for a device this short and slim. It’s impressive. You’ll get at least a few days out of it if not more.
It uses USB-C 2A fast charging, so it comes to a full charge in only 30-40 minutes.
The indicator light explains the various status states of the device, such as battery status, charging status, and if any protections have been enabled (such as overtime protection, low-voltage, etc.).
Final Thoughts
It’s a very nice stick-style vape with a nice simple design and a portable slim profile. The body size feels good in the hand, and I like the feel of the finish, too.
The adjustable airflow also works great since you can get adjust it pretty much along the entire range of mouth-to-lung hits and even a tight lung draw if that’s what you like. But if lung hits are what you prefer, I wouldn’t recommend this for that.
The pods work great and have good flavor – not the best flavor I’ve had, but it’s good.
Overall, I’d say it’s a great vape and even more so at it’s price point.
You can get the Wotofo nexPOD Refillo for $14.99
