Lookah Bear Cartridge Vape Review

The Lookah Bear was sent to me for review from GotoBuuy.com. This is a unique 510 device shaped like a little bear, which caters to those of you looking for a fun and unique wax and oil extract vape – definitely something I think would be fun to find in a dispensary.

Design and Aesthetics

The Lookah Bear Battery stands out with its bear-shaped design, which is both edgy and playful. It’s geared towards users who desire something unique and different in their vaping devices. The bear design is a fully contoured bear figure, including protruding ears that can be used for lanyards.

I think that’s fun, and also great for people who want something to fidget with.

However, this design choice does make it a little uncomfortable in your pocket, and it can snag when you move it in and out of your pocket because of all of the little protruding pieces and the silica gel body. It’s not so annoying that I don’t want to use it, but it’s something I wanted to point out.

Functionality and Performance

The Lookah Bear Battery uses a 510 thread connection, designed for your typical cartridges.

It also has an LED indicator, an on/off button on the face, and two lanyard holes (the ears). It supports variable voltage with a range from one to four volts, allowing users to customize their vaping experience. The higher voltage settings deliver a more intense experience, while the lower settings are better for enjoying the flavor.

Operating the device is straightforward. It turns on with five clicks of the power button and changes voltage settings with two clicks.

Press the power button twice to move through the following voltage settings (the camera wasn’t able to capture the colors properly in the image below, but they do look like the should in person)

  • 3.4V (Green)
  • 3.6V (Blue)
  • 3.9V (Red)

To fire the device, you hold the power button. There is no session mode on this device, which is something you see on a lot of cartridge vapes like this, but this device is small and designed for simplicity, so I don’t consider this a problem.

Despite its gimmicky appearance, the device performs reliably, offering a solid vaping experience.

Portability and Discretion

One of the bigger drawbacks of the device is its lack of discretion due to its unusual shape. While it includes a lanyard hole for easy carrying, this device is designed for people who would likely prefer a more incognito approach. The device’s design makes it more suitable for settings where discretion is not a priority, like at home.

Battery Life and Charging

The Lookah Bear Battery is equipped with a 500mAh battery and Type-C charging port, both of which are great in this device. The battery capacity is great for such a small device, and Type-C charges it quickly.

The LED lights on the back of the head indicate the battery life:

  • One light = 25%
  • Two lights = 50%
  • Three lights = 75%
  • Four lights = 100%

When the device is charging, the light on the front of the device, on the face, will pulse red and when it’s fully charged, it will glow blue.

Overall Impressions

As far as performance and functionality, I think the device works great. It does exactly what you need it to do, and I love that it has adjustable voltage settings. The voltage settings work great too. At the high end, at 3.9 volts, you get plenty of power; probably more than most people will need. It’s good to have those options. The unique design might not appeal to everyone, but it’s definitely a fun and different concept. And I also like the soft silicone body.

The design isn’t discrete so that relegates it mostly to home settings, so this will be better as a personal solo-type of device. Attaching a cartridge to the top of the Bear also makes it really long and awkward looking, so it would have been nice if they had a way to insert the cartridge into the device. The device is pretty small, though, so they probably would have had to make this much bigger to move around the internal parts to make that work, so I can understand why it’s made the way it is. But if they made it able to hide the cartridge entirely in the bear, that would have been awesome.

Overall, I’ve been happy with it. It works great, and it’s fun to use.
