The Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus was sent to me for review from GoToBuuy.com – that’s not a typo, there are two “u’s” in the word “buy” of their name 🤷. This is a nectar collector dab straw designed for sleekness and portability. I’ve had the Seahorse for a few weeks now, and I want to share my thoughts on its design, features, usability, and performance.
Design and Features
The sleek and modern design of the Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus is impressive. The device is aesthetically pleasing and actually looks like a Seahorse, which is awesome.
The device has a long glass tube as the mouthpiece, which also acts as the full chimney section that carries the vapor to your mouth.
At the other end is a 510 connection for the coil, and the coil is covered by a glass magnetic cap. On one side of the device is a type-C charging port, and on the other side is the firing button.
Nectar Collectors are known for being efficient because they don’t waste any of your concentrate, and that’s one of the best things about the Seahorse Pro Plus. You simply vape what you want without any waste.
Electronic Nectar Collector: The Seahorse Pro Plus is electronic, which is far easier to use than a traditional nectar collector. You don’t have to heat it with flame and instead only need to press the firing button. Efficiency is what makes nectar collectors great, and the ease of use of an electronic one makes it even better.
Ceramic Tip and Detachable Glass Piece: The device comes with a high-quality ceramic tip, ensuring a pure and clean taste with each use. The detachable glass mouthpiece tube is a nice addition, allowing for easy cleaning and maintenance.
Compatibility with 510 Tips: The Seahorse Pro Plus is compatible with standard 510 tips, so you don’t need to worry about any proprietary attachments. Of course, Lookah would prefer that you use their tips, but you can use other 510 tips here, too. For example, I used the Yocan Loki tip, and it worked just fine.
Versatility as a Selling Point: The combination of these features positions the Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus as a highly versatile device. It caters to various preferences and styles of vaping, making it an attractive option for both seasoned vapers and newcomers.
How to Use the Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus
The Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus has a single button. You press this five times fast to turn it on or off. When it’s on, press the button twice fast to change the voltage
- Blue: Low, 3.2 volts
- Purple: Med, 3.6 volts
- White: High, 4.1 volts
You can press and hold the button to fire it manually. Hold the button for at least 3 seconds to warm it up, then you can start vaping. You can hold the button for up to 20 seconds.
Session mode allows the device to run without you having to hold the button. You can turn this on by pressing the firing button three times fast. It will preheat for 15 seconds (indicated by a blinking light), then will continue heating for 30 seconds (and the LED light will turn solid). You can stop Session mode at any time by pressing the firing button three times fast.
While firing the device, you don’t want to dip the tip into the concentrate, because that will cause it to become oversaturated and potentially clog it up. Instead, you want to get the tip hot, then just touch the edge of the tip to the concentrate, letting it slowly absorb into it.
The Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus Coils
The tip that comes with the Seahorse Pro Plus is the Seahorse Coil V, but there are several other coil options you can buy separately.
Seahorse Coil I
This is the original quartz Seahorse coil. It has good It doesn’t have the better flavor or cloud production than the other quartz coils, but it’s also more affordable than the other quartz coils. The quartz is designed for a cleaner hit and smooth taste. This is a 1.2 Ohm coil ($29.99 for a 4-pack).
This coil is compatible with all Lookah Seahorse Series devices.
Seahorse Coil II
This ceramic coil was designed as an upgrade to the Coil I to improve heating efficiency and flavor production. You can dab more quickly with this coil, so it’s good for doing quick dabs. This coil is also better for harder concentrates. This is a 1.2 Ohm coil ($29.99 for a 5-pack).
This coil is compatible with all Lookah Seahorse Series devices.
Seahorse Coil III
This coil has a ceramic tube rather than the quartz of the other coils. Lookah says this coil produces more vapor than the other coils. People have said that this tip heats up faster and clogs less often. This is a 0.6 Ohm coil ($39.99 for a 3-pack)
This coil is compatible with the Lookah Seahorse Max, Lookah Seahorse 2.0, Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus, and the Lookah Seahorse X. It is NOT compatible with the first-generation Seahorse or Seahorse Pro.
Seahorse Coil IV
This coil is designed to improve on the airflow and durability of the Coil 1 coils. The redesigned tip is stronger and the improved airflow gives it bigger clouds. This is a 1.2 Ohm coil ($39.99 5-pack).
This coil is compatible with all Lookah Seahorse Series devices.
Seahorse Coil V
This coil has a transparent tube so that you can see the vapor going into it. This coil is a combination of the Seahorse Coil 1 and Coil 3. It has a more even burn for better vapor production. This has a 1.2 Ohm resistance ($39.99 for a 4-pack).
This coil is compatible with all Lookah Seahorse Series devices.
Compatibility and Cleaning the Coils
Keep in mind that all of these coils work with the Seahorse Pro Plus, but they don’t work with all versions of the Seahorse, such as the original Seahorse or Seahorse Pro.
To clean the tips, Lookah recommends burning off the concentrates. Don’t brush the tip or use any liquids or cleaners because that can damage the tip.
Accessories
The Lookah comes with a few accessories.
Magnetic Cap
Place this cap over the tip to keep the tip clean while it’s not in use but also to keep the tip covered after using it to prevent the hot tip from touching anything. The tips get extremely hot, so you’ll definitely be using this.
Hose and Adapters
The Seahorse Pro Plus comes with a green hose and two removable ends. You use this to connect the Seahorse Pro Plus to a bong or water pipe. One of the ends connects to the glass mouthpiece on the Seahorse, and the other end is a 14/18mm adapter to fit into a water pipe. Lookah sells these separately too, so if you need a replacement or want an extra, they have them for $24.99.
Cleaning Brush
This is a tiny little brush designed to get down into the middle of the 510 connection to prevent it from getting gunked up and plugged. It’s long enough to brush through the entire airway of the device. If you ever need an extra, Lookah sells them for $12.99

Lookah Seahore Pro Plus Stand
You can use this stand to hold the Seahorse Pro Plus while you’re vaping and as a display stand. This stand has a heavy base so it won’t tip and the Seahorse Pro Plus drops right into it. Lookah sells this for $24.99.
Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus Display Stand
This stand is used only to hold the Seahorse Pro. You can’t vape from the stand like you can with the other stand. The part of the stand that the Seahorse drops down into is plastic so you need to let the Seahorse coil tip cool down a bit before putting it in the stand, otherwise it could melt the plastic. Lookah sells this for $24.99.
Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus Bubbler
The bubbler replaces the glass tube that originally comes with the Seahorse Pro Plus. This gives the Seahorse Pro Plus a filtered, cooler vape. You take off the silicone stopper, add 2ml of water to the bubbler so that it comes just above the percolation holes, and put the stopper back on, and that’s it. Lookah sells this for $32.99.
Beehive Tubes
These are food-grade resin tubes that you can use in place of the original glass tube. They’re stronger than the glass tubes, but since they’re resin, you can’t use higher than 70% alcohol to clean them. If you want to add some extra style to the Seahorse Pro Plus, this is great accessory. There are five colors – Black, Green, Orange, Blue, and Rainbow – and they sell for $24.99 each.
Portability and Cleaning
An advantage of the Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus is its portability. The device’s compact size makes it easy to carry, fitting comfortably in pockets or bags.
Cleaning and maintenance are often overlooked aspects of vaping devices, but not with the Seahorse Pro Plus. Its detachable parts, including the ceramic tip and glass piece, simplify the cleaning process. Users can easily disassemble these components for thorough cleaning, ensuring the device remains in optimal condition. This hassle-free maintenance is great for regular users, because it prolongs the device’s lifespan and keeps the device working like new.
Battery and Charging
The device has a 650mAh internal battery. It’s a decent sized battery. I would have liked a larger 800mAh battery here but 650mAh is good.
The Lookah Seahorse Pro vs Pro Plus
I haven’t used the Seahorse Pro so I don’t have first-hand experience with it to compare to the Pro model but looking at the specs, it’s mostly the same. They have the same size battery and the same voltage settings.
The Pro model is a slightly smaller than the Pro Plus and comes in other unique colors like Tie-Dye and Camo, and the black and gold models come with different colored tubes, but those are the only benefits the Pro has over the Plus.
The Plus on the other hand, supports all Lookah series coils, whereas the Pro doesn’t support the Type 3 coil. The Plus also charges using a USB-C cable and the Pro charges using a micro-USB.
Unless you want a slightly smaller device or a unique color that the Plus doesn’t have, the Pro Plus is the way to go. They Pro Plus is also cheaper.

Overall Impressions
The Seahorse Pro Plus is a great electronic dab pen. It has a very cool innovative design and great functionality. It heats quickly, and works especially well in Session mode, it’s easy to use having only a single button, it performs great and has a nice clean taste, and it’s easy to disassemble and clean.
I also like all of the optional attachments Lookah makes. It makes me feel that Lookah is really supporting this product for the long-term, whereas a lot of vape companies release a product and move immediately to the next.
Overall, I’m impressed with the Lookah Seahorse Pro Plus and highly recommend it.
