The VapeOnly Space Mod Pod Kit (affiliate) was sent to me for review from HeavenGifts.com. This might look like every other boxy pod device out there already, like the Artery PAL, but there are two really cool features on this that set it apart; it uses a removable battery and it has a rebuildable pod (sold separately). There are plenty of other nice features too.

- 3.5ml e-liquid capacity
In the Box:
- The VapeOnly Space device

- 0.4 ohm spare coil

Design
So like I already mentioned, this looks a lot like pod systems like the Artery PAL, Vaporesso Degree, or Rincoe Tix. There are tons of devices of this style out now. And there’s nothing wrong with that. I really like this style. It looks nice, it’s comfortable to hold and use, and it fits in the pocket nicely. So I like that about the VapeOnly Space too.
The Space mod has a nice metal body with a brushed finish and some great looking panels.
You can get it in five different designs; green resin, black carbon fiber with a black border, brown leather, lava resin, and black carbon fiber with a gray border. And each design comes with a different colored drip tip to match.
HeavenGifts sent me the Lava Resin model, which is nice, but personally, I really like the brown leather design. I wish I had that one! But they all look great.
So on the body, you’ll find the firing button on the panel, an airflow intake on the side, and a USB-C charging port below that.
On the other side is a removable panel, which has a liquid window so that you can see how full the pod is.
And at the top is the mouthpiece and that’s everything you can see from the outside.
Mouthpiece
The mouthpiece is a simple round 510 tip with a concave design. It’s comfortable to use and it comes out the device so that you can clean it or replace it with something else.
Under The Panel
The panel slides down and gives you access to the battery sled, the refillable pod, a little LED screen, and the adjustment buttons. The panel is a thick metal panel and feels very sturdy. It slides into place and sits tight with a strong magnet. It’s not wobbly or anything.
The LED Screen
The LED screen is a tiny little screen, but it’s easy to read and tells you everything you need to know. It shows the mode you’re in, the wattage or voltage you’re set at, the charge of your battery, and the resistance of your atomizer.
Features and Menu System
So let’s talk about the features and the menu system. You have three buttons under the panel – an up and down button and in the middle is the menu button.
To turn on the device you press the middle button three times fast. You’ll see the screen kick on and then you can change settings by clicking the settings button again.
This device is designed to be super easy to use so you have only three options to pick from;
Simple Mode – is designed to automatically detect the coil that you’re using and adjust the wattage based on what the device believes is the best. This mode actually works pretty well.
Power Mode – is your typical wattage mode. In this mode, you can adjust the wattage anywhere from 5 watts to 60 watts.
Voltage Mode – lets you change voltage instead of wattage. It works pretty much the same way, but some people prefer voltage settings instead of wattage, so you have that mode if that’s you. You can set it from 0.2 to 5 volts.
Airflow Settings
There is an adjustable airflow control ring at the bottom of the pod, which you can adjust while the pod is installed in the device, but it’s easier to adjust by taking the pod out.
There are two airflow slots on the airflow control which gives you the option to close tight for a restricted draw or open wide up for a slightly restricted lung draw. The airflow works great in whatever mode you set it, so it’s nice being able to customize that.
The Pod
The pod sits tight but pops out easy enough by pulling it out from the bottom of the pod where the airflow control ring is.
This pod uses replaceable disposable coil heads and VapeOnly makes three different coil heads for the Space mod.
You have a 0.4-ohm coil, a 0.6-ohm coil, and a 1.2-ohm coil.
The sub-ohm coils are better for bigger hits and the 1.2-ohm coil is better for high-nicotine tight draw vaping.
The Space mod kit only came with 0.4-ohm coil and 0.6-ohm coil so I can’t speak to the 1.2-ohm coil, but both of these coils work very well and have really good flavor. I have no complaints at all. They work great for bigger warmer hits and even with high nicotine, they work just fine too.
The coils plug right into the pod and press-fit to seal. So they’re really easy to remove and replace. The coils come in at a good price too. You can get a pack of five for around $8-9.
To fill the pod, just open up the fill port and fill it up. The fill port is on the side of the pod too, which is nice because you don’t have to take the pod out to fill it.
Battery
So like I mentioned earlier, one of my favorite features of the Space mod is that it uses a removable 18650 battery. There are so many benefits to having a removable battery. You can take the battery out to charge it, you can carry around a spare to use if the battery dies, and you can remove the battery to store the device. And one fo the best things about a removable battery is that the Space mod doesn’t have to be thrown away when the battery becomes completely dead in a couple of years.
You can charge the battery directly in the device using the included USB-C cable, which is awesome, and you can vape it while it’s charging.
Final Thoughts
I’m a big fan of this pod device. It has all of the features that you would like in a pod device. It looks and performs great, the flavor production is very good, it has a removable battery, and it has adjustable wattage and adjustable airflow. It’s an all-around great pod device and I love it. Eventually, VapeOnly is supposed to release a rebuildable coil, which would be even more awesome.
