The Vaporesso Zero was sent to me for review from HeavenGifts.com. You can get it here (affiliate). This is a draw-activated pod device, but there’s a whole bunch of unique features that really set this one apart from other pod devices.

Design
It looks really nice. The casing is made of zinc alloy, so it has a nice matte finish. It has a nice build quality too. It feels durable. It’s about 3 inches tall, 1 inch wide, and a 1/2 inch thick. So it’s pretty small.
Features
Most pod devices don’t have many features, but this one has several. So you’ll see this little button near the bottom. Five clicks turns it on and five clicks turns it off. This is a great feature for pod systems since it gives you a little protection against auto-firing.
Adjusting Wattage
You can also adjust your wattage on the Zero, which is another cool feature that most other pod devices don’t have. Three clicks change wattage: green means 12.5 watts, blue is 10.5 watts, and red is 9 watts. And if you ever forget what wattage you’re at, you can hold the button down and it’ll light up to show you the color you’re set at.
From my own use, the wattage is a little on the low side, even at the highest setting of 12.5 watts. So if you’re looking for a good throat hit, you’ll need to use high nicotine e-juice. I’ve heard complaints that the throat hit is a little unsatisfying when vaping any salt-nice e-juice below 30mg, but obviously, that’s going to be personal preference. For me, I like 50mg nic salt e-juice, but that’s what I use in all of my pod devices anyway.
LED Light
The LED light also lights up while you’re firing it and it will tell you what your battery levels are. Green means you have more than 70% battery life, blue means you have 30-70%, and red means you are below 30%
Battery
The battery inside the Zero is a 650 mAh battery, which is expected for a device this size. It’s a good amount of battery capacity, so it should have enough charge to last you a full day and then some. The device has 1amp charging, so you can expect it to take about 45 minutes to fully charge it after the battery dies.
It uses a micro-USB port to charge and the Zero also has a pass-through feature, so you can vape it while it’s charging.
Refilling Bottle
The Zero comes with a refill bottle, which is really interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a device come with a refill bottle before. There’s a reason for that. You need a fine tip bottle to fill the pod. It’s required, but they could have just left it out, so I think it’s cool that they included it.
Pod
The pod slides right into the device and snaps into place with magnets. It doesn’t matter which direction you put it in. I like these magnets too because they’re strong enough to hold the pod in place, but it’s also easy to pull the pod right out and fill up.
The pod has a really cool filling system built in. So rather than using a plug, which can be annoying, this has a one-way valve fill port that moves inward when you push an e-juice bottle tip into it. It goes in and opens up, then when you let it go, it seals. This makes filling it really easy, really fast, and it prevents you from getting e-juice all over your fingers. It’s a really cool feature.
The one negative I have with this is that you can’t empty it out once it’s filled. You have to vape it until it’s empty if you want to switch out the e-juice. So make sure it’s a good e-juice before you fill it up!
And when you fill it up for the first time, just make sure you let it sit for a few minutes so that it saturates the cotton.
Vaporesso says that the pod should last about 5 refills, so you can get some decent life out of each pod. You can actually fill it more than that as long as the coil doesn’t burn out, but the flavor will reduce over time.

Coil
The Zero uses a Vaporesso’s ceramic CCell Coil. Ceramic tends to have better flavor than regular kanthal or stainless steel coils, so that’s a plus, but ceramic also usually lasts longer too. It’ll vary from person to person, but on average it should last longer.
And the flavor is actually pretty good. It surprised me that they were able to get this much flavor out of a pod.
Airflow
The design of the pod is really comfortable to use, and I get good suction even when taking a drag from the side of my mouth.
The airflow is slightly loose in my opinion, but it still seems to work best for Mouth To Lung vaping. It is loose enough though to where you can actually do a restricted lung hit if you want. For my personal preferences, I would have liked a tighter draw, but it’s restricted just enough that I still find it enjoyable.
The Omni Board
This uses Vaporesso’s Omni Board, so in addition to the features I already mentioned, you also get a whole bunch of safety features, even PCBA Nano water resistance.

Final Thoughts
So that’s it for the Vaporesso Zero pod device. It has a bunch of unique features that I haven’t seen in any other pod devices, it has adjustable wattage, and the flavor is good.
I really only have a couple of cons. For one, I think they should have included at least two pods because you never know when a pod might have a defect, which would make the device unusable out of the box. And I also feel like the Zero is just a little underpowered, so if you’re looking for throat hit, you’ll need to use really high nic e-juice. But if you don’t care about throat hit, you can use any kind of e-juice in here just fine.
All in all, it’s a great pod device with adjustable wattage and I’ve really been enjoying it.
