This was sent to me for the purpose of review by LYX Vapors.
They sent me Doc Holiday, which is a from their Classic e-juice line, which I believe is designed for beginner vapers. Doc Holiday is a traditional tobacco. It’s a 70VG/30PG e-juice and comes in 0, 3, and 6mg nicotine.
There’s a company in the U.K. marketing a vape device called the Slissie as a method to curb snacking habits by using it as an aid for losing weight.
The company’s website specifically says that the Slissie is “vapour-free.” Instead of vapor, they say users receive a “mist” of appetite-suppressing flavor.
I’ve mentioned this a couple of times before but if you don’t know, I was a vegan. Not one of those PETA nutcases, but I was a devoted vegan for nearly 3 years. It was entirely for ethical reasons, not health reasons. I’m not going to go into why I’m not vegan anymore, but I still care a lot for animals.
One thing that being vegan taught me was to have a deep respect for all life. Life is a precious thing, for all living things, and we shouldn’t take it for granted. Even today, I still practice some vegan philosophies, for example, I try to buy most products from companies that don’t test on animals.
Dr. Derek Yach, a well-known healthcare policy analyst and former director of the World Health Organization, has announced the launch of the Foundation for a Smoke-Free World. This new foundation will be taking a new approach to smoking cessation and harm reduction, which an initial funding commitment of $80 million per year for 12 years.
And where is this initial funding coming from?
You’d probably never guess Philip Morris International, one of the largest tobacco companies in the world.
David Goerlitz, the former Winston Man, and producer Jean-Philippe Boutin partnered to make a short 15 minute documentary about Bill 44 and Bill S-5 in Quebec, Canada.
I don’t know how big of a role David Goerlitz played in advocating for vaping before he was featured in the popular documentary “A Billion Lives,” but since then, we’ve seen a lot of him. He’s been a really big advocate for promoting the benefits of vaping, which is great.
Goerlitz traveled to Quebec and talked with several vape shop owners.
I picked these flavors up during one of Real Flavor’s recent free concentrate promotions, where all I had to pay was shipping. So I got three 1oz bottles for $4, which is a great deal.
These are all from their Super Concentrates line and all of them are suggested to be mixed at 1-2.5%. I’ve mixed 5ml test batches at the max recommendation of 2.5%, at a 70vg/30pg ratio, and with 6mg nicotine.
I mixed these on Aug. 19, 2017, which was 44 days from the date that I tested them, so they’ve had plenty of time to steep.
You might have heard about Abstrakt Vape Co. recently because they did a ran a big promotion a couple of weeks ago where they sold 2,000 120ml bottles of e-juice for $1. So 2,000 people got this e-juice and as you can expect, tons of reviews for Abstrakt’s e-juice are showing up everywhere. I’ve seen some reviewers reviewing the entire line so it looks like they’ve been sending out e-juice too.
Normal price for this e-juice is $20 for a 120ml, which is super-cheap, which made people wonder if this e-juice is actually any good but check out the reviews online and you’ll find that just about all of them are positive. Every review I’ve seen has been positive anyway.
I got my $1 bottle of Dough Boy with 6mg nicotine, so let’s talk about it.
The UK-based battery company Next Day Batteries has confirmed that they have been unintentionally selling fake battery chargers since as far back as July. July is when they started receiving complaints but it wasn’t until just recently when someone posted a forum thread on PlanetOfTheVapes.co.uk that the news really broke. According to the original author … Read more
I talked about this in-depth when the draft guidance came out in January 2017, and not much has changed as far as I can tell. But this new guidance is finalized and out of draft form, so I wanted to cover it again for anyone who missed me talking about it before. This is still … Read more
