As you might have heard, on July 21st, judge Amy Berman Jackson ruled in favor of the FDA in the Nicopure vs FDA lawsuit, leaving the FDA in full control of regulating vapor products as tobacco products.
It was already expected that Nicopure would appeal the decision and now that’s what they’ve done.
In July 2017, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) published a report about how smoking in movies can result in youth using tobacco products. They start out their report with some strong accusations. The report says that the former Surgeon General has concluded that there is a causal relationship between young people starting to smoke and depictions of smoking in movies. They claim that kids who are heavily exposed to smoking in movies are two to three times more likely to start smoking.

Here’s a question many newer vapers ask – is vaping bad for athletes? Any experienced vaper who has switched from smoking will tell you that they’ve seen very drastic health improvements after switching. But what about nicotine in general? For example, it’s been a long tradition in professional baseball with athletes chewing tobacco. This could be due to beliefs of nicotine and enhanced sports performance. Athletes and nicotine use appears to be growing.
According to a study published this month, anywhere from a third to nearly half of serious athletes playing team sports are using nicotine to enhance performance. The author of the study, School of Sport, Exercise and Nutrition Senior Lecturer Dr. Toby Mundel found that nicotine use is fairly high in team sports and is increasing. So he designed this study to try to figure out why athletes are using it and how it affects physical performance.

I came across a really interesting thread online about thinning out e-juice. This person has a friend that has an allergic reaction to PG, so his friend asked him to create a PG-free e-juice. The problem is that his friend uses a tank that can’t wick high-VG e-juice because it’s just too thick and viscous. So he’s asking if there’s a good method to thin-out 100% VG e-juice.
This is something I have actually considered before but never researched. Every once in a while I come across a high-VG store-bought e-juice that’s much thinner than usual. I know they are thinning it out, but I don’t know how. I’ve always assumed water.

ECC California, one of the biggest vape conventions in the country, held its 5th annual event over the weekend and one of the biggest announcements was about a new battery technology developed by Innokin.
Not a whole lot has been said about this new technology, but Innokin is claiming that after years of research, they have made a breakthrough in battery technology and have developed a new technological advancement that can be used in many rechargeable battery applications, even outside of vaping.

There’s always some sort of drama going on in our community it seems. I try not to talk about every little bit of drama that happens in the community, but this is a sort of “news” show so when the drama gets I have to talk about it. Well, this drama isn’t actually that big, but I wanted to talk about it because of how Heathen handled it, and he handled it like an adult. Which is not so common in this community.
