A Vaper’s Guide to Prepping for a Natural Disaster

I want to start out by saying that this segment has nothing to do with prepping as far as food, water, heat, or sanitation is concerned. I’m not a prepper and if doomsday happened, I’d probably be one of the first people to die. Well, I might live to Season 2 of the Walking Dead, but probably not much longer. Anyway, I’ll only be talking about how to prepare for a disaster as it relates to vaping. As for the other stuff, you’ll need to figure that out on your own.

With Hurricane Harvey finished and Hurricane Irma probably down to a category 1 storm by the time you listen to this, this advice is a little too late for anyone who has suffered through these recent natural disasters, but things like this will happen again and it’s never too soon to prepare for a future disaster.

The FDA Is Asking Vape Manufacturers to Submit Their Trade Secrets

Last week on Sept. 6th, Mitch Zeller published a blog post on the FDA Voice blog, encouraging tobacco companies, including e-juice manufacturers, to submit documents that contain trade secrets.

This document is called the tobacco product master file (TPMF). This is a voluntary file that would benefit the industry as a whole, or at least that’s the idea behind it.

Hardware Review: Pax Juul

I purchased the Pax Juul starter kit myself. It comes in a nice little package with two boxes. One package has the pods and the other box has the Juul and the USB charger.

You can get a starter kit for $49.99 which comes with everything I just mentioned, as well as 1-year warranty.

For the average person looking to get off smoking, there’s not a lot that needs to be said about the Juul. You plug in a pod and hit it. It’s draw-activated using a pressure sensor, which means all you need to do is take a drag and it turns on. There are no buttons to press.

The Asvape Cobra was sent to me for the purpose of this review by HeavenGifts.com. They sell it for $37.99

This is a 24mm sub ohm tank created by Asvape. I took a look around their website and I’ve learned that the “A” and the “S” in Asvape stands for American Standard, which is interesting since they are in China. But I guess we’re their target market. They’ve been in business for about 7 years according to their Facebook page. They sell three different mods and two different atomizers – one of those atomizers is this Cobra Tank.

Without Proof The CDC Claims Smoking in Movies Causes Teen Smoking

In July 2017, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) published a report about how smoking in movies can result in youth using tobacco products. They start out their report with some strong accusations. The report says that the former Surgeon General has concluded that there is a causal relationship between young people starting to smoke and depictions of smoking in movies. They claim that kids who are heavily exposed to smoking in movies are two to three times more likely to start smoking.
